Modern Concept is, like my first album, a treatise on technology. Many of the songs act as disfunctional love stories between a person and their device, while others honor the history and future of technological advances. Casey Jones and We Have Fed You All For a Thousand Years are both retellings of classic labor songs by Joe Hill and An Unknown Proletarian, respectivly.
